We all lucked out getting to have you as our Mum (or Grandma, or mother in law, or Step - Grandma!) You are a legend, whether you are entering the world rowing championships, cycling across continents, bagging Munros or organising family get togethers - you have the stamina, patience and grit of an Ox...and all with such kindness and compassion. You are my hero.

My Dear Mum

My Dear Mum, The incredible, kind, loving, compassionate, helpful human ever. Mum would never say no to helping anyone in any way she possibly could. The laughs we had at funny cards in shops, mine or her own dizzy, daft mistakes, but not my jokes,(more of a Roger Moore eyebrow look then.! Sometimes we laughed so much for so long, tears rolling down our faces we would forget what we were laughing at, the kind of the harder you try to stop the more you laugh. Miss you so much,HMD up there Mum xxx

Mum has been my greatest teacher, showing me what independence truly means and how to stand strong even when the world feels heavy. Through her determination, she taught me to keep going, to believe in myself, and to never have doubt. Because of her, I know that life is meant to be lived fully. I know that dreams are worth chasing and that giving up is never an option. To me the best mum in the world, not just for what she has done, but for who she is: strong, loving, brave & beautifully herself

My mum Jessie McAbney

My beautiful mum was the loveliest kindest person you could meet always had a smile for everyone never a bad word to say. She worked up to the age of 76 and sadly we lost her in 2024 suddenly that is the day our lives changed forever My dad daughter and husband miss her every single day. She was taken too soon. A proud Nana that you could ever meet, she loved her only granddaughter Jessica very much. We will never forget you mum Always in our hearts.♥️ Love you 🥰

Mrs Elizabeth Laing-Kerr

My mother worked in the Army's Officers mess's in: Bulford camp, Wiltshire, UK- 1968-1970 Minden camp, Germany - 1970-1974 Mulheim camp, Germany - 1974-1977 Bulford Camp, GB - 1977-1979. She joined the Royal Observer Corps as a w(obs) 1982-1993 She died in 2004. This is a fitting tribute to my mum who served in the Armed Forces, whilst being a wife and mother too. Cheers mum!! Photo taken on her 65th birthday, just 2 years before she sadly died in 2004.

Although growing up I learned a lot of wrong lessons, I knew you loved me. I knew you would always be there for me. When I joined up you were ecstatic and loved to be involved in everything you could. I miss being able to ring you and let you know what’s been going on, let you know how the boys or the dogs are. I miss hearing your laugh and seeing your smile. I am forever at the bridge where we scattered your ashes. Surrounded by wildlife and memories. I love you so much mum. Thank you xxxxxxxx
